At Tender Olives School, classes at the primary level adopt an integrated curriculum designed to foster the 21st century skills in pupils. We consider primary education as a single-phase where programs are typically designed to provide fundamental reading, writing, and mathematics skills to establish a solid foundation for learning. We don’t develop only the children’s learning skills but also their interpersonal skills.
Our teachers are well equipped to spark a yearning to learn in every child that steps into our school.
Our daily instructions are tailored to cater for children’s Intellectual, Physical, Learning, Language, Emotional, and social skills.
At Tender Olives we embrace an approach that sees teaching and learning from a holistic point. We use a hybrid curriculum; an integration of the Nigerian and the British curriculum. Throughout school year, we map out realistic and engaging themes and integrate them into every area of learning, this is done each half term in all our classes.
Our learning areas at the primary level (year 1- 3) are: Mathematics, English Language (Grammar, Phonics and Spelling, Diction, Creative Writing, Reading and Comprehension), Science, Geography, History, Physical Social Health Education and Economics (PSHE), Religion, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Music, and French. All of these areas are carefully curated to ensure that children learn foundational skills that will over time prepare them for life, work, and active citizenship and to be global brands.
We know that at the grade level we are responsible for the foundation of your child’s educational journey and personal development hence, we play a vital role in imparting essential knowledge and skills, fostering innovation, creativity and instilling core values.
We look forward to an amazing and adventurous learning experiences with you.
